Eiffel Tower

Hot Dogs French way

Our little friends looking for a handout

It sure makes you feel safe to see the armed police eveywhere

Hello! Everyone ....Had a great sleep last night and I was up at 5am waited for Rod until 7:30 ..then we set off to explore Paris...We got a bit mixed up at the start but then sorted ourselfs and were off down through Parc Du Champs to the Eiffel Tower ...We got to the E.T. and oh my the line ups already to get an elevator...we stood for about 15 minutes with salepeople coming at us from every direction yicks!!! no get away ...and never have I seen so many people who are apparently deaf mutes wanting donations...we gave none...we bought none...I noticed there was no line up for the entrance to the staiway...we headed over and a bus load of students got there just before us...not to long a wait and we bought our tickets then we went through a Security check point and Rod kept setting off the alarm back and forth he went until he remembered his clipon sunglasses in his pocket...the metal and magnets...oh brother. Start the climb 680 steps....we made it in good time without to many stops along the way. When we arrived on the second level we got on the elevator there another 5 euro each and to the top went zipped what a amazing veiw. Hope you like the video's and pictures. We were starving by now from all the stair climbing, so stopped at a vendor selling Hot dogs the French way, grilled lovely French Loaves a hot dog and a half  on top and cheese then dijon mustard on top yummy! Then we headed to the Arc de Triomphe it was a longesh walk but well worth it. Then of course there was the walk back home. Funny thing happened ...A man Italian stopped in front of us picked up a wedding band made of Gold?? He smiled at us and I said maby it was a breakup and the husband through it away...the man tried it on his finger and started to walk away...then handed it to me and kissed my hand and Rods...Ha! and said maybe it would bring us good luck ...he turned to walk away and then sais" do you have change for coffee" Rod reached into his pocket and pulled out two coins, I reached in my purse and pulled out 5 euro and gave it to him, will find out what the ring is made from or not it fits me perfect anyways and I like it...Maybe stolen from someone...well he seemed a nice man ...I know I am a fruitcake Ha! we will be going out tonight on our big tour will let you know how that goes later. Oh! Almost forgot...on the way back to our hotel the bank on the corner was I guess trying to hook wp new cutomers and were giving out candies from a bank mug...the man handed me one and said its free...and I said the first thing today we didn't have to pay for, he had a good chuckle and asked where we were from we told him and thanked him Merci for the lemon drop...Later everyone...xxxxooo
