Good Morning all....We can't believe that it was 7 days since we lugged our baggage up the stairs...these are some pictures of the Ferryhill Hotel, we were treated very well by all ..(well there was this one wait staff :(  she was quite rude so I had to put her in her place and all was OK after that)  the rest were all lovely friendly helpful...the meals were fantastic...the beer very good :) We spent everyday hunting down a New Castle to see, and still do not have enough of them. There was a forest fire three miles south of Balmoral Castle where we were yesterday, the requested a helicopter to help out with the Park Rangers..We are going to Edinburgh today, Ann Marie is meeting us here at 11am and then we will be on our way. Our rental car a Volkswagen is very comfortable and fuel(diesel) efficient, we have our handy dandy Tom Tom gps to help us on the road...it works very well and am comforted by the sound of "cross the roundabout second exit" in perfect English ( well sometimes it refuses to speak, so then I watch it and speak to Rod) at first he wouldn't listen to me Ha! Whats New Ha! We really enjoyed our visit with Christopher and Ann Marie...they are such nice young people...Christopher is unfortunletly very busy right now with his studys and work.We are planning a nice meal (dinner) tonight for my Birthday which we both forgot until I opened my e-mail Ha! funny that. Sunday we had headed for Inverness, Loch Ness and anything in between, it was a very long day and was around 7pm when we stopped for supper (dinner here) at a little reasturant called Little Chef...the young man who looked after us was so sweet and the food was very good. I told him when we left he was such a nice young man and wished him much success in his life and gave him a good tip, we never got back to Ferryhill till midnight...OMG we were both so tired...well must go and get finished packing up for uour trip...xxxooo to all
