Dunnottar Castle

This has to have been the Best Castle we saw, all three are in agreement

It was a rainy dark day and that didn't slow us down, just look at it

The long path down and as Ann Marie said...we have to go back ha! It was up hill all the way leaving

Pretty Flowers on the way

some poor little snails that were on the walkway got squished but not the ones Ann Marie rescued

Lovely design on the paths

OMG it was just so amazing the Ocean the rain loved it all

Rod and ann marie checking out a room

We three Musketeers

This was were all the  water from the castle would run

Real sad story here over 200 woman, men and children were thrown into this part of the castle (something to do with religion) it was horrible they depended on the guards for water and food, they had no where to lie down some tried to escape over the steep imbankment most i am afraid died...very sad ..you could feel it

This is what awaited the ones who tried

Miss Ann Marie

Hope you all enjoy the video....

  1. Great video of Dunnottar Castle--especially the path down and the ocean views! Your comment about feeling the sadness is so true--we had the same feeling at Glencoe and at Culloden Moor. We are really enjoying your blog!

  2. Fantastic pictures - I think this is how I imagine Scotland - foggy and wet. It must be green all year, though. Beautiful!
